On A Night Like This | fromtheheart

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” – 1 Corinthians 13:1-7,13

Nights like these are the ones when you realise once again how uncanny God’s divinity is. How he places people in your life who bring out the best in you, who surpass your standards and who never fail to surprise you with their honouring spirits and purity.

It’s nights like these when you realise God gives you much more than you deserve and much more than what you thought you needed. It’s nights like these where God makes you take a check on yourself and rebuilds your roots, when He allows you to recognise the way He uses people to bring about His will.

It’s nights like these where you remember how blessed you are. When you’re conscious of the fact that you love someone more and more every single day, when you realise that they’ve loved you more and more every single day, when you remember that there’s so much more to it than just a feeling.

When you seek for Him in your daily life and begin to truly see the fruits of it, when you experience Him over and over again by becoming sensitive to His Spirit, when you remember His love, when you appreciate and honour His Spirit, and for me, for tonight, when you’re taken back to the reasons why you ever loved someone in the first place and love them more for it, it’s a night like this.
